Christina Sánchez (she/her) brings nineteen years of experience as an educator, non- profit Director, policy analyst, organizer, and coach. The daughter of Mexican immigrants, she grew up in South Central Los Angeles. She started her career as an Assistant Director of Admission for her alma mater, Yale University. She taught middle school Social Studies and English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Los Angeles Unified School District, launched parent-organizing efforts across the state of California, and served as the Director of Programs for a community and youth center in South Central Los Angeles.
During her graduate studies, she supported citywide initiatives and worked alongside Mayor’s Office staff in the cities of Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles. That work involved convening community members, non-profit leaders, philanthropic partners, and public officials. As a consultant, she has worked with over thirty organizations to strengthen their programs, launch new initiatives, and prepare for substantial growth.
