Yuka Ogino

Donor Relations Director

Yuka Ogino joined CISLA in August 2024, bringing in over 14 years of nonprofit experience. Yuka began her career in youth empowerment programs bringing together Japanese American and American Muslim youth due to their experiences post WWII and 9/11. She continued to work on youth leadership programs at a social justice center at the Claremont Colleges.

Yuka transitioned to Development at the American Red Cross in Chicago and focused on individual giving. She has fundraised for crucial medical equipment and disaster relief victims in the Midwest. She then went onto the RAND Corporation where she received 2 awards for her work supporting the Development team.

She was most recently at LAist partnering with donors that are passionate about quality public journalism. Yuka credits her personal development to K-12 public after school programs. As a daughter of immigrants, these programs and the staff leadership of these programs were instrumental for her passion in the visual and performing arts and later, helped her academically, and find her path in the public sector.

Yuka received her Bachelor’s in Ethnic Studies at UCLA and her Master’s in Public Management at Johns Hopkins University.
